Loving the snow!!

This is the most snow we have had in years! Most everyone in the neighborhood is loving it! The boys were not out of bed for very long and they were suiting themselves up and they were on their way outside to play!
Kode had thrown snowballs at the neighbor lady a few times so she finally got back at him by white washing him in the snow!

he was a great sport about it! He didn't get mad or even cry. He just said that he was very cold. He didn't have on any gloves or snow pants!

then the city came through and helped us plow the snow from the street into a large pile across the street!

then all the neighbor kids were out playing on the hill.

they were throwing snow balls at each other standing on the hill. then they decided to sled down it. then they decided to try and make a fort out of it! this snow hill has been a huge hit with all of the neighbor kids around! its so large of a hill that it takes up 1/2 of the street!

Bowling

Kodes basketball coach wanted to have one last get together at the bowling alley! Even though basketball season is over with he thought it would be fun to get the boys together one last time and have a little fun! He ordered pizza and let the kids bowl a few games!

Kode and one of his team members Garrett!

one of the team members brought this cake to everyone to enjoy!

then just before everyone left the coach gave each of the boys a trophy!

Its been a great season! I hated to see it end. But all things have to come to an end I guess! Kode has learned so much and has come so far and we are so proud of him! Way to go Kode!!

Snow Fort!

My boys are loving the snow! Thank goodness we are finally getting some! After Mac plowed all the sidewalks in the neighborhood the boys asked him if he would help them build a snow fort. So Mac plowed a bunch of snow in the neighbors yard and told the boys to start packing it down. They loved how he helped them with the four wheeler and Mac enjoyed helping them!
Mac pushing the snow from the street to the neighbors yard!

here they are packing the snow down!

Bry shoveling the snow around the fort!

 Kode packing the snow down!
He told me that they have to have a hard outer shell so that the fort doesn't cave in on them!

 Mac gathering lots of snow!

then when he was done helping the kids he decided to play around on the four wheeler for a bit!
he did some cookies, and some brodie's! Just having fun!

Anyway everyone has had so much fun in the snow the past few days!

Christmas!!

On Christmas Eve the boys wanted to leave Santa some milk and a brownie and his reindeer some carrots. That's a great way to sweeten up Santa while he makes his quick stop at our house!

So we didn't have any cookies so Kode made some brownies and we gave Santa some!

Then Bry decided he needed to write Santa a quick letter and set it with the treats!
His letter went something like this:
Santa all of my friends in our neighborhood and my brother all have an XBOX 360. I would really like to have one to. Please see what you can do to help me! Thanks Bry!

Anyway the boys were so excited they could hardly stand themselves. They had such a hard time going to sleep!

Christmas morning Kode got up at 6:30. We had to go and wake Bry up. He didn't want to get up but finally did. Then we were off to see what Santa brought and open our presents!

and a smoker! He has been talking about buying one of these for a couple of months. He was very surprised when he unwrapped it!

Needless to say the living room was a huge mess when we were done opening up all of our gifts! But everyone helped put there things away.

Mac was excited to assemble his new smoker. He wanted to use it for our Christmas dinner!

Bry was so excited to put together the Lego set he received. He wasted no time in assembling it!

and here is his finished product!

and then Bry wanted to take a picture with Kode

for dinner we smoked a ham and had mashed potatoes, corn, yams, stuffing, and dinner rolls. It was very good!

All in all we had a great relaxing day. It was nice just to hang out around the house. We had no where we had to be and nothing that we had to do. We had a great Christmas. Thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts you sent our way. We enjoyed all of them!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!!

We hope that Santa has found everyone and that he left you some fun stuff. We also hope that everyone has a wonderful day with family and friends today!

Driving them Crazy!

Its been driving the boys crazy that their are gifts under the tree that have their name on them! They have been asking for a few days now if they could open up 1 gift on Christmas Eve. Well lets just say they weren't awake 10 minutes and they were opening up 1 present! They just could not stand it any longer!
 Kode got a backpack
(or as we say it a fun bag. a bag he can pack for when we go out of town with lots of fun things to keep him busy)

Bry opened up a gift that had a basketball in it!

I am not sure if opening up just this one gift satisfied their craving for opening up gifts. But they are gonna have to wait til tomorrow!

Happy Christmas Eve!!
