CRAZY!!

 So the other day the boys could dress all crazy and have crazy hair for the day at school. So the night before the boys told us how they wanted their hair and how they (or should I say Bry) was going to dress for school the next day! It so makes getting up for school so much more fun when you get to be all crazy!!

So the next morning the boys got up got them selves dressed and Shawn colored their hair. (gotta love the shirt Bry choose to wear. It says "I'm pretty much one of the best people I know!" and if you know Bry that is so him!!) Luckily I stocked up on the hair color after Halloween was over. Cause it sure came in handy!

KODE:

Kode is not a big fan of wearing miss matched cloths. So he decided to wear his regular cloths and just color his hear all different colors, ooh and he had miss matched socks on! 

BRY:

So Bry wanted to use all of the colors that we had on his hair. He wore pajama bottoms, with that silly shirt (that fits his personality), miss matched socks and two different pairs of shoes! He was totally into it!

They both had a great day at school!

Kode won this from his 4th grade teacher for making his goals. She gives out some fun prizes and this was one of them. So when Kode brought it home we had to play it immediately. It is a really fun game and its kind of hard! Anyway just a few pictures to share!

So Excited!

 Ooh my goodness. I am so excited I just received my first blog book today!  So a couple of weeks ago I went to post some pictures and the blogger gave me an error saying that I had to many pictures on this blog. So I guess that ment that I had to delete some. Well I didn't want to delete any cause I really am doing this blog to someday make it into a memory book out of it! Well I guess this is the day! So I went and googled how to print your blog and found blog2print (I remember Mimaw telling me that is what she did to print her books) and down loaded my dates that I wanted printed. And a couple of days later it has arrived at my house!! I just love it! Now I can delete all the older posts! Anyway, I am just so excited!

Crazy Hat Day!

Soon after we came back from vacation at the boys school they we having a crazy hat day! So the boys wanted to participate! Bry wanted to wear his pirate hat that he purchased from Disneyland and Kode wanted to wear his cat in the hat hat! Since it was Dr. Seuss' Birthday that day! (he won this a couple of years ago during Dr. Seuss week at school)  Anyway it was a fun way to get back into the routine of things after being on vacation for a week!

Ooh My Goodness!!

 So I came home from work the other day to Shawn demoing the basement! (although he did warn me a couple of weeks ago that when he gets the gumption he is going to start tearing into the basement) So I was warned but I sure was not expecting it when I came home that day! So I guess let the work begin!

Shawn says he like to demo! (what a great way to releave some stress)

 I am not a huge fan of demoing cause it is so messy!! But we have been saying we were going to do this for a while now. So I guess no better time than now!  

LiTTlE BoY DrAMa

Ooh Little Boy Drama around our house at the moment!

Well the other day the boys were out in our back yard playing with some of our neighbor boys and for what ever reason one of the boys said "I am going home". (I am still not sure what was said between the boys to make Dalton go home but he did) So Bry chimes in "go then" and that's when it started!

So a few minutes later my boys come running in the house wanting to know if it was OK if they went across the street to play in one of our neighbors backyard. "well sure I said" and they were on their way!

Well not to long later Bry comes home to let me know that him and Dalton got into a fight and they are not going to be friends anymore! I just laughed and said "what happened now?"

Bry said "well him and I were arguing and then he began to choke me so I kicked him in the gut and then he tried to kick me but I jumped away and he missed me so he tried again to kick me so i grabbed his leg and knocked him on his butt then Jakob (Jakob is the boy that has the whole neighborhood playing in his backyard) told us that we needed to go home cause we were fighting. So now I had to come home and that makes me mad"

Me: "well Bry that's good that you stuck up for yourself. Don't let your friends run you over. But you probably should try to get along with Dalton cause you are neighbors and all"

Bry: Well I don't want to be friends with him right now!"

So a couple of hours later Bry come stomping into the house and said "Now Dalton is bribing Kode with sodas and candy to be his friend. No one else wants to be his friend or be around him and Kode said he feels bad for him so he said he would hang with him. Now Dalton is giving him junk so he will be his friend. That really makes me mad"

Me" Ooh Bry I am sure you all will be friends real soon. Its all going to be OK.

I just chuckle inside about this. I didn't think that boys had drama.  

WELCOME SPRING!!

Today is supposed to be our first day of Spring!! I know that I am so ready for spring to be here! I am ready to plant some flowers, work in my yard and wash my car!

I am so over the snow (we have gotten 6 or 7 inches of snow from this last storm. OK I realize we need it but I think winter should be done with now!!)  Anyway

WELCOME SPRING!!

(just saying that or even hearing it brings music to my little ears and makes my heart very happy!)

Going Home!!

I can't believe our vacation is over! It seems like its never going to get here when we were planning everything and when the time finally did come its over before we knew it! But it was a good vacation and Disneyland was fun!

These 2 bums didn't want to get out of bed. They were so tired from all the late nights and early mornings on our vacation!

We didn't fly out til 2:00. So we had our hotel hold our bags for us and then we walked to Down Town Disney and did some shopping. The boys finally spent some of their money on Lego's. (the hole vacation they didn't want to purchase anything. They said that they didn't want to spend any of their money) but they finally decided to spend some of it! Then we had some lunch, then it was time for us to get our luggage and hop onto the shuttle and get to the air port!

We finally got our luggage checked in and we were just drinking all of our soda's before we went through security!

Bry was just so exhausted by the time we got to the air port!

 He would just lean on this chair and cry.

 He cried about having to go home, that our vacation was over with, he cried about his feet hurting. It seemed that nothing was going to make him happier.

(well I think I know what would make him better a NAP)

Anyway, we let him cry it out and not long later it was time for us to board our plane

 Kode watching Grumpy surf on his cell phone! Grumpy and Mimaw were looking at other vacations that they could go on in the near future!

then it was time for us to board the plane!

We made it to SLC!

 It was now time to say goodbye to Grumpy and Mimaw and make our way to find the shuttle stop!

All in all it was a great vacation! Disneyland was fun, the beach was nice and it was the perfect time to get away. Everyone needed a break from the same old routine. But I am now ready to go home and sleep in my bed and eat food from home. Eating out is making me kinda sick! Anyway, that's all of our vacation to Southern California!

Our last day. . . . . .

 Our last day at Disneyland/California Adventures was a soggy one! It rained most of the day but we made the best of it! We decided to go back to California Adventures and ride some of the rides one last time and see some of the shows we didn't get to see.

After trying these on Shawn said everyone need to have a pair so that they could see in the rain!

 While we were waiting to see the Talking Turtle Show Mimaw was telling the kids a story!

About our 2nd day at the park we finally realized how the fast passes worked and we utilized them well. When we entered into California Adventures the first thing we did was go and get several passes to the screamin' ride so later on those that wanted to ride it could use the passes. Then we were on our way to ride the Toy Story Ride. (although the line was long again we still waited and when it was our turn we really enjoyed it) We made sure we all did our last minute shopping and got those souvenirs that we all wanted before our day was over! If I remember right Shawn, Bry, Hannah, Jeff, and maybe a few others rode the screamin' ride 4 (or even more) times in a row cause we had so many fast passes. By the end of the day I think everyone was tired, wet and ready to call it a day from riding rides. It was time to find some food!

For dinner that night we at at Tortilla Joe's. Its a great Mexican Food place on the strip of Down Town Disney. While we were eating they had a balloon maker that came to our table and made balloons for all of the kiddos!

We had a great time in Disneyland and California Adventure and now it was time for us to say our goodbyes to the family. Everyone had to fly out the next morning/afternoon. It seemed like our vacation went by so fast!

Wilderness Explorer Camp!

The Wilderness Explorer Camp was a pretty fun place to explore! When you first enter into the area they give you a map and you follow the map and stop at each of the locations. Then when you have explored that area then you scratch off that area on you map. Each area had something fun for the kids well even the adults could do the activities to. It was a fun way to spend some of our day at California Adventures!

The rock climbing area was a huge hit. Even the big boys really liked it!

 This bear cave that they are in was pretty cool. Shawn is putting his had on the screen then after a few minutes the screen would tell him what animal he would be if he was an animal according to his hand print!

Then after we were all done there was a "ranger" at the exit giving the kids their badges and stickers for completing all the challenges in the Wilderness Explorer Camp! 

All in all everyone had a good time exploring!

California Adventures had some fun shows that we watched. This one was The Aladdin Show. It was a pretty cool show. I am glad we took the time to go and see it!
