another appointment

Well the boys had another orthodontist check up. Their check ups went well. Poor Kode got worked over a little more than normal. As for Bry his appliance was just tweaked a little.
happy go lucky Kode

A bracket broke right after our last appointment. So during this appointment they glued it back on.

Then they changed his rubber bands to triangle ones. Luckily he only has to wear them only at night. His mouth is going to be pretty sore for a few days. He decided he wanted to change the color of his bands to navy blue!

Everything was good with Bry. He just has to continue to wear his night gear. He choose to change his bands to orange!

So we are good for another 6 more weeks!

Their Back

So the hawks are back! The boys decided that they wanted their hair cut and that they wanted it to be cut in hawk style! I think its kind of funny that they are back to this hair cut again. But what ever they want!
I asked Bry why he wanted his hair cut like that again and he said it makes him look tuff!

Kode said he missed having the hawk that is why he decided to go back to it!

darn batteries

So Mac decided he wanted to move some of our vehicles around. Our white truck hasn't started in several months. (well both batteries are toast. we haven't replaced them cause we only use this truck in the summer time to pull our cab-over and 4 wheelers with it. so i didn't see any since in replacing them just so the truck could sit on the side of the house, not to mention that the batteries are $120 a piece to replace) Anyway I just couldn't see replacing them til spring when I know we will be using the truck. Well since Mac wanted the white truck moved somewhere else on our lot he decided he would jump it with the blue truck. (yes we have a few to many vehicles around here I am thinking) Well he tried and he tried and he tried to get the white truck to start but was unsuccessful in doing so. The batteries in the white truck are just to gone! So needless to say both trucks are staying where they are, and I guess that means I need to get my crap together and purchase some new batteries for our white truck.
I guess I could look on the bright side of things and see that if I bought new batteries for the white truck then it would be that much closer to being ready for the Spring/Summer seasons. There is so much that we need to do before we can be ready for our first camping trip like de-winterize the cab-over, and de-winterize the 4-wheelers and restock the cab-over.

goin' for a walk!

Bry decided to take the dogs for a walk today. They have put on some winter weight so it was very nice of Bry to take them for a much needed walk. The weather has been nice and the snow is melting quickly. So it was good for them to get out of the house for a bit! Thanks Bry for taking our four legged doggies out for a walk!

he just got them harnessed up and man where they excited!

Bry decided it would be fun to run with them.  Ooh goodness I think that they are going to have a heart attack. They haven't ran in several months, but they loved every minute of it.

this is the best part of taking them on a walk, getting tangled up in their leash.

Anyway, Bry enjoyed taking them and they enjoyed going with him!

Jeep

Mac has wanted a Jeep for a long time. (he really wanted a jeep before he purchased the bronco) He has been saying he is gonna buy one and the other day he did purchase one. Its new to us but its not new! Its gently used. Its a 2006 Jeep Rubicon. It has about 50,000 miles on it. There is really nothing wrong with it. Its in perfect shape. A couple about our age owned it before us. The girl used to drive it to and from work. She hated it and that's why they decided to sell it. Mac knows her husband well and that is how he knew about it! Mac is tickled pink about it!

Just the two of us!

A couple of weekends ago Mac and I got to go out on a date. Well actually it was a whole weekend of just the two of us. (its been a very long time since we have done this. we didn't know what to do with ourselves) Actually Mac had the whole weekend planned out. He bought tickets to a Jazz game. So we saw the Jazz play. It was a great game. They played against the Chicago Bulls. The Jazz was ahead for the first half of the game then they ended up loosing at the end. I have to say it was a very excited game though.

Then the next morning we got up and headed up to Park City for the day. We went and walked through the outlet mall stores up there. Then we drove over to the old part of Park City and walked around those little shops. It was a great way to spend the day.

Then that night he purchased tickets for us to go to Dester Star. We just love going to those shows.

All in all we had a great weekend. We were glad to see our little boys again on Sunday.
Thanks Mom and Roger for taking our boys for us for the weekend. They loved hanging out with you guys that weekend and thanks for letting them hang with you guys at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet. They still bring up stuff about it all the time!

Valentines

Our Valentines Day was a great one! We didn't do anything fabulous but we still made it a special day for each other! My mom sent everyone a little valentine package so the boys were going crazy to see what what in it.
It had been driving Kode crazy for several days so he opened his Valentine first thing in the morning!

Bry took his merry time getting down stairs but when he made it down he opened up his right away. Thanks mom for all of the fun valentine goodies you sent our way!

After everyone went to school and work we decided to brave the crowds and go out to dinner. We went to our favorite Mexican place to eat Dos Amigos. The food was good as usual and the wait was not to bad. It was busy there but everything was good.

We all had a great Valentines Day!

Rocks-a-Boxin

Bry's class has been talking about community helpers for a couple of weeks now. They had the mayor, a judge, 2 loan officers come into their classroom and talk to them. They talked about how the community is run, how the judge makes their calls on cases and how loan officers loan money and things about a checking and savings accounts! Then the children could run for office, or they could create their own business, or be a community helper (like a police officer or a fireman). Bry and his buddy choose to create their own business!

their business was called The Fun Zone!
they had a bean bag toss and a knock the cans down.
Bry was in charge of knocking the cans down.

The boys had lots of prizes.
Once everyone got word that they had prizes they got lots of business!
Everyone got a prize weather they knocked all the cans down or not! The kids really liked that they got a prize!

Here are the business owners!
Bry and Bryce

and this is what their booth looked like most of the time!

this is what Bry did all the time. Set up those cans for the next person to toss the bean bags to!

more pictures of the chaos of their booth!
Everyone was cleaning up around them and they still had a long line of kids wanting to play. The boys had to turn kids away just so that we could go home!

After it was all said and done the boys made quite a bit of money (its all fake money).
The next day the boys were informed that they had to pay taxes on their money that they made! Bry was a little bummed. He didn't want to have to pay taxes on all of his earnings!
I told him well Bry that's part of life!!

banana chair

the boys wanted banana chairs so I told them that they needed to save their money and then when they had enough they could go and buy themselves one! So Bry did some chores around the house to get enough money gathered and Kode had some money in his money jar to purchase his own chair. So after both boys had their money we went to the store to get them their own banana chairs!
First they had to choose the perfect box with no dings or tears in it!

then it was time to put it in the basket and go and pay for it!

Bry was so excited he could hardly stand himself!

They both love their banana chairs and since they bought it with their own money they take great care it them!

camp out!

Kode and his scout group went on a camp out to camp Lee. This is the first camp out that Kode has ever been on. And this is the first time that he has been away from any family members for the night. I was a little skeptical about this but Kode was very excited in going so I set my emotions and thoughts aside and sent him on his way!
Kode said he had a great time. He said that the night was very cold though. I was very excited to see him when he was home. I was eager to hear how his trip was and how he was feeling. Its nice to have him home again!

just don't go with out me

Anytime we get ourselves ready to go out of town our little Abbey dog pouts and plants herself in our luggage. She gets so mad if you move her out of the bag. She finds her way back to the bag and sleeps there. This is her sign of telling us that we are not allowed to leave her. But before we leave we give her a bone to chew on. That makes her very happy!

Moving things around!

Bry had been asking for a few days if I would help him rearrange his room around. In some ways I hate doing this (cause its so much work and it usually a mess for a while with him) anyway I gave in and we both rearranged it and got things back to normal in just two days. He loves his new arrangement.
