our trip to the uinta's

A few weekends ago we took a trip to the Unita's to camp with some of Shawn's family. The drive was a little long but all in all we had a great time!
while driving Koda played with Lego's
and made this really cool front end loader truck
as for Bry he just slept
the nights got a little chilly so it was nice that we had this fire to warm us up. it also came in handy for cooking too
this kids loved playing on the flat bed trailer. it entertained them for hours
(Bry and Jordan)
we were able to go on lots of 4-wheeler rides
(Shawn and Isaac)
all of the roads that we rode on were all very rocky but we made the best of them and had a great time!
here is our cook for the weekend. thanks Shawn the food was WONDERFUL!!
just relaxing around the campfire
Shawn making dutch oven zucchini bread! um um um it was so good!!!
just taking a break!
this was one of the beautiful views that we saw as we were riding!
Jordan, Isaac, Koda, and Bry chilling for a quick picture
Bry trying to skip rocks across the river
we decided to take a ride to see what Lym Lake looked like. It was so beautiful!!
All in all we had a great time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KODA!!

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY KODA!!
I just can not believe that Koda turned 10 years old today! Wow where has the time gone!
We just had a real low key day. Koda just wanted to hang around the house and play with his friends. We invited some of Koda's friends over for some cake and then when Shawn got off of work we met him for some dinner at Dos Amigos. Koda's favorite place to eat!
Here his is getting ready to blow out all 10 candles
He wanted a motorcycle cake. So I ordered one!
Koda wanted to go to Dos Amigos for dinner. So after Shawn got off of work we all met there for some dinner!
Koda carrying all of his presents into the restaurant
enjoying some chips til our dinner comes
one of the main reasons why Dos Amigos is Koda's favorite place is because of the Casio Dip!
Shawn and I and Bry gave him a camera
(this is something that he has been asking for for a while now so him and I went to the store and picked it out the other day)
Grandma and Grandpa Paxman sent him a card with $$ inside!
Thanks grandma and grandpa Paxman!
Gram's and Grandpa Roger sent him some snacks and some money. He is in heaven now!
Thank-You!!
Koda is really big into Lego's right now so cousin Kim gave him some that he could put together!
Koda received a game (diary of a wimpy kid, which is his favorite book) and some money from Mimaw and Grumpy! Thank-You!!
This is where they came in and sang to him. He was a little embarrassed but survived!
For his birthday dessert they brought him some crustos. He really liked them!
Thanks to everyone for sending Koda Birthday gifts and calling him on his birthday!
He really loved hearing from you!!
Koda you are an awesome little man. I just can not believe how big you are getting. It seems like just yesterday that I had you and here it is 10 years later. Before I know it you are going to be learning how to drive. You are such a great little helper to everyone, and we so appreciate you. You work so hard in school and it shows. Thanks so much for being a part of our lives. We are so blessed to have you in our family. We hope you had a great birthday. We love you!!

Fish Hatchery

A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to a fish hatchery in Ogden. This was the first time that they have gone fishing and the first time that they caught their own fish. They had a lot of fun though. Neither of them wanted to touch the fish when they caught them. I guess that is what dad and grandpa roger were for. The boys caught 4 fist each. (it did not take much to catch any fish. they were swarming around in hundreds see below) Anyway it was a fun time to spend the afternoon.the boys scoping out the best fishing spot
Kode studying the fishing poles. Trying to figure out which one would be the best one
Bry said this fishing pole is going to be the one that gets him the biggest fish!!
Shawn filling up the buckets with water. Getting them ready for all of the fish that the boys catch
On our way to the best fishing spot!
There were 5 different ponds to fish from and each of them were plumb full like this one
Kode caught his first fish
Grandpa Roger helping Bry fish. He would throw food into the water for the fish to eat and Bry would catch one. It was a great way to fish.
Kode posing with his first fish that he has ever caught
Bry trying not to touch his first fish!
Thanks Mom and Roger for taking us to this fish hatchery. The boys had a great time!

mini air planes

Ever since Koda asked to have an army room he wanted air planes to hang from the ceiling. So one day Shawn and I were at the store and came across some cool mini air planes that we thought would be cool to hang in his room. So we purchased a few of them. Shawn came home tied each one with some fishing line and hung them up throughout his room. Its pretty cool and now his room is complete.
(sorry the pictures of the planes are not the greatest!)
