Our Christmas Tree!

We have actually had our Christmas Tree up for a while now

(since Shawn works shift work and only has 2 weekends off a month we schedule our things around his schedule) but I thought I would document it. The boys just love helping put up our Christmas decorations and decorating the Christmas Tree is no exception, and they always do a great job.

I have always wanted a tall and slim tree and this year Shawn decided to purchase one that is 9 feet tall and is pre-lit. It is so beautiful. I am loving it. (I do have to say it was very hard to decorate the top of it though. We had to get the step ladder out in order to decorate it.) As you can see Bry standing on the step ladder just to reach as far as he could just to put up a few of the decorations. Anyway I just love this time of year! Its so much fun!!

Festival of Trees!!

Last weekend was the festival of trees at our convention center. I really enjoy going to this each year. People are so creative when it comes to decorating trees. I just wish I could be as creative as some of those people are. Anyway here are some of the trees that we saw!We thought that this peppermint tree was pretty cool looking

and this tree was a favorite with the boys cause its got cat equipment on it.

I really enjoy going to the festival of trees every year. The trees are so beautifully decorated and it gives me so much inspiration to decorate my tree. Although I do the same thing year after year. (we do not bid on any of the trees cause we have 3 trees of our own. we sure do not need another one)

I really wanted a fun family picture (and a silly one) taken by our Christmas Tree. (I was thinking maybe I could use one for our Christmas Cards for this year!) But it seems that we McPhie's just can not get it together. Either someone is being silly, not looking at the camera, or they just don't want to smile. Ooh well I guess that's just how we are.

Our Abby Dog!

This is our Abby dog! The other night I just finished up washing Bry's sheets and I set them in the basket and told Bry to take it upstairs and make his bed. (so he decided to set the basket with the warm sheets in it by the stairs so the next time he went up stairs to his room he would take it with him.) Well this is what we found a few minutes later. Abby had found herself the perfect bed!! Silly dog. We all had a good laugh!!
