LeArNiNg To EdGe!

 A couple of weeks ago Kode asked Mac if he would teach him how to mow the lawn. So Mac showed him how. Ever since then he mows the lawn at least 2 times a week. (its so funny. we say to each other Kode is out mowing again) Well the other day Kode asked if Mac would teach him how to edge the lawn. So they got everything out and Mac showed him how to edge. Edging is a little harder but Kode did great! I guess he learns from the best!

Before long Mac wont have to mow or edge the lawn at all. Kode will be able to do it.

BBQ Season

Now that it is BBQ season we really needed to get the BBQer cleaned. So Mac set out and got it all cleaned up for the season. Before he washed it up it looked like it was a 100 years old. After a little scrubbing and some TLC it looks like new again. Its amazing how by just cleaning things up makes them look like new again!

under the weather

So both of my boys came down with the stomach flu last weekend so we just laid low! (Of course they both weren't sick at the same time but someone was down the whole weekend) Anyway, it was kind of a bummer but I still made the best of it!

While the boys were under the weather I got all of my scrap booking stuff out and made cards. I was getting a little low on birthday and thank-you cards so this time worked out great!

My kitchen table was sure a mess all weekend but I made lots of cards. So it was worth it!

Elko

As I was doing a few things around the house today I realized that the boys and I moved to Elko 7 years ago today!

That's right we have been in Elko for 7 years now.

I thought to myself where has the time gone? It really couldn't be 7 years could it? Well it is!

And I have to say we have accomplished a lot in the past 7 years!

Its been a good move for all of us. Even though its so far away from family we have seemed to do well.

Mac has been very successful in his job (and he enjoys what he does and that is very important considering how much time he spends at his job)

We bought a very nice home where our boys and animals can enjoy the yard.

And we have met lots of fun and interesting people.

All in all this move has been a great move for all of us!

So I hope to many successful years to come here in Elko!!
