Mowing!

So Mac told the boys if they mowed the lawn for him that he would pay them $10.00. (although he didn't go into detail that it was going to be split between the two of them if they both mowed) So the boys mowed the lawn the next day. When Mac got home from work that night they let him know that they had mowed the lawn and then they wanted to know where their money was at. The both of us got a good laugh out of the boys though. They out smarted Mac and now he owed them $10.00 each. They did the work now it was time for him to pay up! And he did. He made sure they got their money. Mac was just glad that he didn't have to mow the lawn this week. He said he was not feeling up to it! Anyway. . . .
So here they are getting started!

Kode said he actually really likes to mow the lawn!

ooh Bry is not sure he likes it but he will help out as long as their are no friends around to entertain!

I thought this picture was funny. Kode following behind Bry making sure he didn't miss a spot!

and Bry stopping for a quick picture!

Great Job boys! Dad appreciates you helping him out by mowing the lawn.

New Cooking Bible!

This is Mac's new cooking bible!
On the days he is off of work he cooks dinner for the family. So you can count on him using recipes out of this book for most of all of our dinners! And the recipes are wonderful!! We have tried things we would probably never would have tried before. Mac goes through the book and decides what he wants to make, then he makes a list of the things we don't have in the house and then ventures off to the store to get the ingredients. Its very nice to know that dinner is taken care of for the night! Mac doesn't mind cooking but I think he is really enjoying it now! Anyway, thank-you Roger for getting Mac this wonderful grilling cook book! Its been put to great use!!

Car Show

There was also a car show going on in town this past weekend to. (yes it was a very busy weekend indeed) The boys didn't want to go so Mac and I decided just cause they don't want to go doesn't mean we can't go. So we did! They chilled at home with the buddies.

Mac says someday he is going to own a Mustang. He really liked seeing the older ones at the car show!

this rat rod reminded me of something that Kode would own.

and this is something that he would have on the front of his vehicle. It is so Kode

Mac thought that this truck was pretty cool.

This car is owned by one of Jon's (my former step-dad) buddies!
It was so cool that we were able to see some of his buddies.

here they are (well some of them)
they traveled all the way from Wyoming to come to the car show. No they couldn't talk Jon into coming down. Jon feels that his car would not make the trip but we all know better. Anyway it was still great to see the buddies and chat with them for a bit!
(Shawn, Nick, Gus, and Lloyd)

All in all the car show was a great one! There were lots of different cars, trucks, motorcycles, old stuff and new stuff and the weather was great! We are looking forward to seeing the buddies again next year and we hope to see Jon here with his car.

The Air Show!

The air show was in town this past weekend. We always look forward to going to it and this year was no different. The weather was not to hot and there was not a lot of people which made it really nice. Anyway here is what we saw. . . . .

they had different places you could park your vehicle throughout town and then a shuttle would come and pick you up. So we decided to park at Gold Dust West. So here we are waiting for the shuttle to come and pick us up!

Bry hiding behind the post. He says that the shuttle driver is not going to see him behind here. No the driver probably wont! Silly kid!

After waiting just a few minutes for the shuttle we got loaded and then we were on our way. Mac and I chillin on the shuttle!

The first plane we saw when we got to the air show was the Summit Ambulance plane. Bry wanted to take a look inside of it. He is so curious about everything!
(I just hope this is the only time that he or any of us has to get into this plane)

Then we were off to see other planes! The boys really liked this one cause it looks like a shark!
(Its actually a Northern American Rockwell Aircraft. A Marines aircraft)

Then they had a couple of old willies war jeeps there. This was Mac's favorite!

and another one!

then another air craft they used in the war!

and this Navy one. Bry loved this air craft!

he got into it and made himself at home!
(Kode didn't want to he was afraid he would get into trouble. Hes not as daring as Bry is. As for Bry he don't care)

Then he wanted to be the pilot! He thought he was pretty cool!

Then he wanted to know what the buttons would do if he pushed them. So one of the pilots that flies the Navy plane told Bry a little about how he flies the plane. Bry just couldn't get enough!

Then we finally got him out of the pilot's seat and he wanted to take another look inside of the belly of the plane. He was just fascinated with this rescue plane!

Then we saw some jumpers falling from the sky! That was really cool to see!

One had the American Flag attached to his leg. Pretty crazy!

This air plane was pretty cool.
You could take a flight with this pilot (that is if you wanted to pay out of your nose though!) He was charging $300.00 for a 30 minute flight per person! People were doing it! So Crazy.
But it was pretty cool to watch this plane take off and land!

Then we were off to see people's personal puddle jumper planes!
This was a pretty red one!

Then the boys wanted to compare a small plane to the larger ones we have flown on to California!

Yea there was definitely a huge difference. Only about 5 people would fit into this plane. It was fun to hear the boys compare the small plane to the big ones! It was very nice of the owners to let the public get that close up to their planes.

Anyway we all had a great time at the Air Show this year!
