Kodes walk-a-thon

On Friday Kodes school held their annual walk-a-thon. I made sure I was done with things at work so that I could join him. It was fun. They had everyone walk around a foot ball field. It was very muddy and some of the kids were sliding around in the mud on their stomachs. Just let me say that those middle school kids are a different breed! I guess I just need to get myself acclimated or something but holy cow!! Anyway, here are a few pictures I took!
stopping for a quick drink!

and then he walked and walked and walked. They had the kids walk, run, slide, dance, and play around for an hour! It was kind of crazy! But I do have to say they played some good music on the loud speakers so that we all had something to walk to! Some of the music we could dance to while we were walking and most of the teachers were jammin'! It was pretty cool!!

All in all the walk-a-thon was good. I enjoyed being able to spend sometime with Kode!
Thanks Kode for letting me hang with you!! I enjoyed it!

Family Pictures

So its been a year or so that we had any family pictures taken. So I figured it was time to get some done. The holidays are just around the corner and I really need to start thinking about what kind of Christmas cards I am going to do this year. So the other day I called up a cousin of mine and asked her to meet us down at the college and snap a few photo's of us! I think she did a pretty good job for not really knowing what she was doing. I didn't want anything formal or fancy. I just wanted a few shots of all of us, then some of just Mac and I then some of us with each of our boys. Anyway, here is how they turned out!

Scarecrow Festival

Yesterday was the scarecrow festival here in our town! Its a fundraiser for a program her in our town. We have never gone in all the years we have lived here. So I figured it was time that we go and see what its all about. My class makes a scarecrow every year for it.And this year was no different. They have games for this kids, good stuff to eat. Anyway here is a little of what we did!

here are all the scarecrows that people could bid on and hopefully win!
No I didn't bid on any. I already have a cute one.

This is the one that my team mates and I made. Yes he has paint all over him. We had to make a scarecrow that went along with a book. We choose the book "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More!"
(its a really cute kids book)

then after looking at the scarecrows we purchased some tickets and then the boys were off to play some games!
first I wanted to get some pictures of them looking like a scarecrow!

Bry is a pro at mini golfing!

Kode trying to open up a toy Bry won!

Bry digging through the secret brew finding the perfect treasure!

Kode trying to guess how many candy corns are in the jar. The one closes to the right amount wins an iPod! He really wants to win!

then he was off to play some games!

then it was time to grab a prize!

All in all the boys had a great time at the scarecrow festival! I enjoyed being able spend some time with my boys. It was a great afternoon!!

Then after we went to the festival we needed some lunch. So we stopped off at Subway for a sandwich. Subway is one of the boys' favorite places to eat! I don't mind it either!

Pictures

So I have been very discouraged about paying as much as I do for the boys to have school pictures done. And when they come in 4 weeks later they are terrible. Then we always have to have retakes done and its just a pain. So this year I decided not to purchase any school pictures. I would just take the boys down to the college and take my own. Now I am no professional photographer but it doesn't take a genius to hold a camera and take a few pictures. So that is exactly what I did. I think they turned out good.
warning: there are lots of pictures in this post.
