Circus Circus

Our next stop was Circus Circus! We had been talking about Circus Circus to the boys for a few weeks and they were very excited to see what it was all about! They had saved over $100.00 each so that they could play games and win prizes. And they did well on the prize area. So well that we had to purchase 2 duffel bags in Vegas just to get all their prizes home! Anyway here are some pictures of our afternoon at Circus Circus!

So here we are all walking in!

First thing first! We needed to exchange the bills for change! Most machines took quarters! So we had to have change!

This game was Kodes favorite game. He was a great aimer! He won a bear stuffed animal at this game! (we lost the rest of the family cause Kode found this game and didn't want to leave)

When we found them they were playing Circus Downs!
Mac and Grandpa Rog was on a roll winning stuffed animals.

By the time everyone left this game Bry, Kode and Chealsi had a large stuffed animal!

 Bry got this one!
This is one of a few animals he won (or someone helped him win)

Even the adults enjoyed themselves playing the games!

Bry wanted to give the basketball game a try! It was really hard!

Deal or No Deal was a huge hit for everyone! Everyone gave this game a try!
(you didn't win stuffed animals at this game just tickets. The boys saved all their tickets and cashed them in at the end)

Kode won lots of tickets at this game! He was just really lucky!

Then after everyone had enough of playing games we were off to have the tickets counted! They had tons of tickets each!

Then it was time to get some prizes with their tickets!

these are 2 of the stuffed animals that Kode won
(although the big boys helped him a little)

After spending a couple of hours at Circus Circus we had had enough and were on our way. We made our way to Cesar's Palace! Chealsi wanted to do some shopping! So we were along for the ride with all of our loot that was won at Circus Circus!
Just chillin! Giving our feet a bit of a break! and man they were soar! We have been walking and walking for 4 days now. All of our feet were getting real soar!

So then after we were done shopping for a while we met up with Bry and Grandpa Rog
(they had tickets to pro bull riding) Everyone was ready for some food! So we met them at Buca di Beppo! A family style Italian place! It was pretty good! We ordered a pizza and some salad!
While we were there they came to our table and took a picture of all of us!

I am not sure what we were thinking cause we were all so full from dinner but we decided to order dessert. Oooh my goodness the dessert was huge! It was very good though! There was tiramisu, chocolate cake, strawberry cheese cake and white velvet cake!

Then once dinner was over we made our way back to our room!
this gun is one of the prizes that Kode got from Circus Circus that day! he set up an area in our room where when Mac came out of the bathroom he could shoot him.

So when Mac came out he was hit with several darts. Then he bent over and gave Kode a good target to shoot at! It was pretty stinkin funny!

Anyway, our day was full of lots of fun. By the time we got back to our hotel we were all beat!

Fremont Street

We just had so much fun in Vegas and I took so many pictures while were there so here is more about our vacation!
So the hotel didn't offer contentail breakfast (for as much as you pay to stay at those hotels they should give you some kind of breakfast. yea right I know I am dreaming)
Anyway most mornings we ate light stuff. The boys mostly wanted Krispy Kreme Donuts. Mac had Starbucks and I ate oatmeal. Everything was so expensive. (that's Vegas for you though)

Kode loved this hat. He found it on one of the first days we were there. He pondered about buying it. We went to the shop that sold them and he tried it on a few times. Then finally he decided not to buy it. He said he didn't think he would use it after we left Vegas. (smart boy. I don't know how many times I have purchased something and then got it home and then decided that I really was not going to use it anymore)

So one of the days when we were there we decided to ride the city bus to the old part of Vegas.
(where Vegas became Vegas)

Fremont Street!
Well lets just say that the bus ride was an experience in itself! Yes I realize that it was a city bus and its nothing like driving our selves or even taking a taxi but WOW what an experience.
The bus was having issues. We didn't realize it until we were seated and on our way. The bus had no air on it, and the bus was so full of people. I swear everyone was breathing so hard. We were all sweating and it was beginning to stink. Not to mention the bus stopped every block and people kept getting on. With no seats to sit in and no where to stand they were still piling in! An hour later we finally made it to the end of the strip. Yes I said an hour later. That's how long it took us to get there. I was crazy. Then the bus driver got on the speaker phone and said "there is a minor problem with this bus and everyone has to get off here" No kidding there is a problem. We are all about to die cause we have no air. Well I was a little pissed cause we had been on the bus for a while and then we were just kicked off. That sucked. So we waited for about 10 minutes and then boarded another bus. We just wanted to get to Fremont Street.

Well we finally made it to Fremont Street.

As we were walking down Fremont Street. We saw that people were on a zip line. So Mac and Chealsi were curious how much it was to ride on the zip line and where do you get on it. So needless to say Mac, Chealsi, Bry and I rode on the zip line!
(kode had no desire to do it)
So we found the area where you pay and suit up for the zip line. It was only $15.00 and you had to weigh 70 lbs. So Bry was able to do it with us! He was so excited!
So here we are just getting ready to suit up!

and here we are on the other side just finishing up!
(Chealsi, Mac, Me, and Bry)

They took pictures of us while we were on the zip line and then a group picture at the end. Chealsi and I decided to purchase one! We all had a great time on the Zip line!

Then we roamed Fremont Street for a while. Then we went to one of the buffets there. It was a pretty good one.

Then we were back on the bus again!
(the ride back to the strip was a much better ride. not near the problems)

Next stop was Circus Circus! I will post about our next stop soon!

More about our Vacation!

So we did so much while we were in Vegas and I have lots of pictures I want to put on my blog (cause I print my posts off in a book. And its so much fun to look through the books and see all of our pictures on our vacation.) Anyway here is more about our vacation!

Chealsi and Bry with Spoungebob and Patrick.
Bry loves The Spoungebob TV so when we saw them standing on the strip he was excited. So of course I had to have a picture of him with them. Chealsi said she would join!

We went to the M&M Store. Oooh my goodness I didn't realize that they made so many things with the M&M Logo on it! You could find just about anything you wanted in that store that had M&M on it. The store was 3 levels. It was a HUGE store!

and the flavors of M&M's they had was unbelievable. This picture only shows some of the M&M's they had. But you could take a small bag and dispense any flavor(s) you wanted into the bag and enjoy them. I didn't know that they even made 1/2 of the ones they did. Anyway the M&M store was so cool!

ooh and the boys and I had to have a picture taken by one of the M&M's!

Mac and the boys just hanging out waiting for the rest of the family!

At one of the other hotels they had booths set up that had to do with the PBR. So we decided to walk over and see what was there!

One of the first booths was where the Budweiser horses were held. They are some beautiful horses (and I am not much for horses) but they were very pretty and they are very pampered!

Next we were off to see the mini bulls! Man those suckers are really mean! I feel bad for those little boys that have to ride those mean bulls!

Then there were other booths set up where they sold belts, boots, hats, PBR stuff and these really cool chairs. Bry said it was so comfortable to sit in! I know I would like to have one!

Then after we were done looking through the booths we were off to see what the Luxor looked like. The boys have never seen what a pyramid looks like. So we went and took a look. First I had to have a picture of us in front of it!

Then after all of that walking we did we were hungry. The boys wanted to go to Hooters. So we went and had some grub! (I have to say the food was not that great. I know I was a little disappointed. But what was I thinking. You don't go there for great food its for the boys so they can see the girls! duh Aimee!)

This little go-cart was parked outside of Hooters. We told Bry to get into it and pretend he was driving it! He wanted Grandpa Rog to get into it with him!

We saw this sign in the MGM Grand. So we thought it would be a perfect back drop to take some pictures with!

Chealsi and the boys!

So there is a little more of what we did while we were in Vegas. I still have lots more to share!
I guess you could say I was very picture happy! I really enjoy taking pictures! So more to come soon!

More about our Vegas Trip

So more about our trip to Las Vegas!

So our taxi driver got us to our hotel safe! We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel and my mom, her husband and my sister stayed at the MGM Grand. (the hotels were just across the street from each other so that worked great. just a 15 minute jot from one hotel to the other. well at least that is what it seemed like. those hotels are HUGE!) Anyway we checked into our hotel, found our room and then ventured out to meet up with the rest of the family.
Now that our bags were situated it was time to venture out and see what Vegas had to offer!
So we decided to meet up at New York New York Hotel. I have to say this was my most favorite hotel that we went into. (we went through 7 hotels and this one was my favorite one)
Anyway, we bummed around in this hotel for a while!

This is what New York New York looks like from the other side of the street!
It was a pretty cool hotel.

Anyway we looked through the stores in the hotel, and found ourselves something to munch on to tide us over til dinner. Mac got himself a drink.

Then we took the boys up to the kid gaming area so that they could play a few games!

and Mac played a few to!

then we were off to look around for a while!
We went to this one booth that sold these HUGE candies.
Chealsi wanted a picture holding some of them. they were a little pricey. They were $20.00 - $25.00 each. But that's Vegas for you. Everything was so expensive! But we had a great time!

 Silly boy!
then we were off to explore MGM Grand Hotel! One of the restaurants that we would meet at each morning had this gift shop there and in the gift shot there was this huge salt water fish tank. Mac really enjoyed looking at it. I have to say it was pretty cool to see it myself and I am not much for fish!

and then he found this hat while we were at the gift shop. This is totally Mac. He didn't even want to buy it. I was so surprised!

Bry and Grandpa Rog taking a break for a few while the rest of the family catches up with us!
Bry and his best buddy!

The main reason why we went to Vegas was because we had tickets to the PBR (Pro Bull Riding) at the Thomas and Mac center there in Vegas. Well the first night we were there Chealsi and I went to see the Bull riding. (we only had to tickets for each night we were in Vegas. So different people went each night so that way everyone had an opportunity to see what the PBR was all about!
I have to say the PBR was pretty cool. I have never been to anything like that before but it was cool to see it with my own eyes!

So after having a little issue with finding the bus that shuttles us to the PBR arena Chealsi found it with seconds to spare, but we made it! It will be a memory we will never forget!

So we made it to the convention center and found our seats just fine! Actually they were good seats.

We could see everything just great!

then we had to have a picture taken with the arena in the background!

Anyway, while Chealsi and I were at the PBR the rest of the gang when to dinner and bummed around the strip. (I only had my 1 camera so I was not able to get any pictures of anyone else that went to the PBR the other nights. But I sure got tons of other pictures to share) There is so much more to share about our vacation. I will post more later!
