Our Next Stop on Our Vacation!!

After we left the condo we drove to Green River Wyoming. Jon's mother (grandma Lina passed away) So Shawn and I thought it would be nice if we went to support Jon and Chealsi and say our last goodbye to grandma. The services were very nice and the lunchin' was good. It was so nice to see all of Jon's sister's and brother and their families. Its been a very long time since we have seen most of them.

We never get to see her and her husband. They live in Farmington New Mexico and with us living in Nevada its just so far away.

(her husband JD just had surgery on his shoulder so he had to stay home but it was so nice to see her and Ashton)

Chealsi and her boy friend Daniel. It was nice to see Chealsi. She has just recently graduated from Weber State University which she majored in Radiology and she just recently landed a full time job at a Chiropractor's office. Congratulations Chealsi.

While we were up in Green River I had the opportunity to stop and see a school friend of mine. Amy Jones Fischer! She is still the same Amy I always remembered. It was nice to chat with her and her husband and my boys played with her little boy Ryan.

We had a great time in Green River. It was just a bummer that it had to be cause of grandmas funeral. But I was very thankful that the roads were great and that we were able to travel with no problems. Thanks to Jon and Chealsi for letting us stay with them at the house. We appreciate it!

Visiting Family!!

For our second week of Christmas Break we decided to take a road trip and visit family. It was so nice to see everyone even family members we haven't seen in a long time!

So here goes. . . . I will tell you all about our adventure

(well I will break it up in several posts)

Our first stop was in SLC at my Mom's condo. We stopped there to stay with them. While we were there Roger's daughter and son-in-law were there. It was nice to see them. We hadn't seen them in a while. We all decided it would be fun to go and look at Christmas Lights.

(yea Kode is missing. He was not in the mood to look at lights that night)

Then after lights we went back to the condo and played some Wii

(since we got some new games for Christmas the boys were eager to play them)

If the boys weren't playing the Wii then they were doing crafts. They just love doing crafts. Kode is putting together a race car.

It was nice to see Mom and Roger and the clan. Thanks to them for letting us use the condo when we are in town. We appreciate it!!

Good-Bye 2011

Wow I can not believe that 2011 is over already. This year has flown by! (they say the older your kids get the faster time goes) Well I have to say I totally believe that!

2011 was a good year for us.

We finally got our truck up and going and ready for camping season.

We took our cab-over out and went camping several times.

We even took our 4-wheelers out on a few day adventures and with us on all of our camping adventures.

Shawn and I celebrated 12 years of marriage.

The boys turned 8 and 10 years old and graduated from 1st and 3rd grades, and are now in 2nd and 4th grade.

We were able to take the boys to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World, and the beach this year

(thanks to Mom and Roger) That was a fun vacation!

And we all have survived Shawn going back to shift work.

(well he only works the day shift but its rotating 5 days on and 5 days off this is much different then what he was doing before. It used to be Monday - Thursday with all weekends off. This new change is for the best. Its going to get him to where he wants to be in the long run)

And believe it or not I survived having a hysterectomy. (at first I thought that I was not going to survive cause I could not walk up and down stairs for a week. I could not drive for 2 weeks and I could not lift anything for 6 weeks) It was crazy but I survived! And thanks to my Dad, Step-mom, my Mom and Roger for taking the boys for me so that I could recover fully. The boys had a great time hanging with everyone!!

These are just a few highlights that happened in our lives in 2011

All in all 2011 was a great year for us!!

I hope that 2012 will have lots of fun adventures, good health, success in our jobs and school and lots of happiness in store for us. We look forward to a New Year!!
