Hero's

When Shawn went to work on Tuesday there was an e-mail saying he needed to attend a dinner/award banquet where he and his co-workers would be honored their heroism. (they were being honored for helping a family that hit black ice and rolled their rig right out side of Elko last December) So he text me and said don't make any plans for Friday night. He had plans for us to attend this dinner sponsored by the American Red Cross. (we are not sure who nominated the guys but they where honored to be apart of this)
When we walked into the room this is what we where greeted with!
these were the 6 guys that helped save the family of 5 and their 9 dogs that early December morning. Congratulations guys! You all did a great thing that morning. That family was so grateful for you guys and our community is so proud of you too.
everyone received a plaque with their name engraved on it and 2 certificates signed by the Governor of the state of Nevada honoring their heroism.
Red Lion catered all of the food and it was delicious.
(sorry i only remembered to take a picture of the desert. well that's the best part of the meal anyway right!!)
and this is just a picture of the two of us.
Thanks Shawn for letting me be your date. I really enjoyed being able to share this wonderful honor with you and I enjoyed being able to see and socialize with those you work with. You are truly a hero to me and the boys. Thanks for all you do for us.
WE LOVE YOU LOTS!!
