Mac's work had a family picnic in the part the other day and as always we love to go. So I loaded the boys up and we made our way down to the city part to join in all the fun and eat great food! (Mac had to work so it was just the boys and I) It was a great way to spend the afternoon. The weather was not to hot and there was not to many people there!
So the first thing we did is go and get us something to eat! They had tri-tip, BBQ sandwiches, chicken, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, french fries, BBQ beans, chips, salad, and a variety of drinks. You could go and get as much as you wanted at anytime of the afternoon! The food was great!
So the boys scarfed down their hot dogs and then they were off to play games!
(that is what they came to do)
Kode wanted to win some animals by playing the games!
and Bry was just there for the ride! He really wanted to play on the jump houses but he decided to try some of the games first!
then he was off to eat some cotton candy!
and Kode was so into playing games he could not even stand to take a break. He wanted to win some stuffed animals!
and he did finally win a few
then he was off to make paint a frisbee!
they made an announcement that they were going to be doing a watermelon eating contest so Bry decided he wanted to try it! the winner would win $$$ as the prize! that was a better incentive to win the contest knowing that he would win money!
here he is lapping up the watermelon. He didn't win but he did a great job in trying!
(next time I think they should do a children's group and an adult group. that way it would give the little guys a chance to win. those big fellers always finish so fast and its kind of an unfair advantage for the little guys. that's just my opinion)
we found Kode racing remote controlled trucks. he was having a blast!
then it was time to have their faces painted! Kode wanted something with blood.
(I am sure the lady thought this kid is kinda crazy)
this is what she painted on his face. a bloody knife!
then not long after Kode had his face painted Bry wanted his done. He wanted his hole face painted.
so this is what she did. he just loved it!
then Kode decided he wanted he other side of his face painted. so he was back in line to have it done! (I am sure this lady thought not u again!)
but she painted a smokin gun on his cheek! now he was satisfied!
All in all we had a great time! Thanks Newmont for such a fun afternoon!! and thanks Mac for working as hard as you do so that we can do fun things like this!
