The other day Kode came home with a note from his teacher that stated that all the students in the 4th grade needed to create their own (or have someone help them create) a valentine box. (one student from each class will go home with a prize for the best valentine box. So Kode wanted to do something so he could win that prize) So I got on the computer and started looking at different ideas. I came up with a few ideas but none which Kode liked. So I asked Shawn to drum something up that would be up to Kode's par. (the note also stated that you could not purchase anything. All resources had to come from within your home. You could use tissue paper, boxes, paper etc. Just items that you have in your house. Well Shawn and Kode came up with a great idea!!
They decided to make a Robot as the Valentine Box!
I am not sure where all the materials came from (I didn't realize we had all of this stuff just laying around) but somehow they were able to put it all together. We had all of the spray paint in the garage, and both of them went to town making sure the robot looked good! Shawn even was into doing the project. It was so neat that he was so willing to help Kode!So here is what the finished Robot looks like!!
The Robot turned out great! They both did an awesome job!(I am thinking that Kode's robot is going to be the largest valentine box in the whole 4th grade!! Its a big one!)
Now getting it to school is going to be a trick!
