So we finally made it to our camping destination just above Paris Idaho. (we figured it only took us a little over 7 hours to get there) Just after we got our trailer all leveled and some things unloaded we all decided to go for a 4-wheeler ride to Ice Caves! Our camp was only 1/2 from the cave and the boys were ready to do some exploring!
A few other family members decided to come with us to see what the Ice Caves were all about!
(this is the trail that you take to enter into the caves)
another view of entering the cave
Mac stopping for a quick picture!
and then it was my turn!
(it was pretty chilly down there so most everyone wore their coats/jackets)
this is the view of what the first cave looks like inside. It has a lot of natural light.
(Where Mac is walking towards is another entry into a another section of the ice cave. Except this part of the cave you have to have a flash light cause there is no natural light and the opening to this part of the cave is very small)
a few of us didn't feel comfortable going inside of the dark part of the ice cave. So we stayed out and chatted!
Not sure why this picture is here but it somehow appeared!
Anyway I have a funny story I wanted to share!
The shirt Bry is wearing says "I Love My Sister" Well as we all know the boys don't have a sister (nor will they ever get one) So Aunt Pam said to Bry "you don't have a sister" Bry says "ooh yes I do" She gets a funny look on her face and says "ooh you do huh" Bry says (with a very serious face) "yes she has 4 legs and is black and white"(referring to our dog Abbey) Pam cracks up laughing and says "well I guess I cant argue with that"
I have to say that was a pretty good laugh. Really the shirt was a hand me down from the neighbor. I just figured it was a good camping shirt!
Anyway back to our exploring in Ice Caves!

Anyway back to our exploring in Ice Caves!
(I didn't feel comfortable to go into the next part of the ice cave so I just hung out with some of the family but the boys were very eager to explore.) Mac took pictures for me inside to the cave! This is what it looked like inside. Kode standing next to one of the frozen water falls. I guess its very slippery inside there with a few frozen waterfalls throughout!
This is what the fall looks like close up!
and another frozen fall in a different area of the cave
this picture was taken outside of the dark cave area. There were lots of crevices and holes that the boys loved to explore.
There were a few ways to get out of the ice caves and this is one of the more difficult ways. All of the kiddos wanted to climb out this way. I sure wasn't for me but I was very happy to take pictures of them. (Thanks Uncle Chris for watching over them while they explored)
and Bry helping Kode!
We had lots more adventures on our trip to share! More to come soon!!!
