This is another project that we have been working on lately.
My patio set really needed some TLC!!
(well I really should have done something with it last year but I didn't)
So my mission is to make new covers for each chair and to paint the metal part of the chairs and table for a fresher look! (Well before I had decided to take on this project I thought I would just go and purchase another patio set and call it good, but when I realized how much the patio sets cost I re-thought that again! So I figured it really couldn't be that hard making some new covers and re-painting what I already have.) So a little elbow grease and some work and these babies will look like new again!
So I recruited some help with sanding everything down and getting it prepped for paint!
(Thanks Kode and Mac for your help. I appreciate it!)
So while Mac and Kode were sanding and painting (well I did help with painting some of the chairs) I was in the house busy making the covers for all six chairs! At first I wasn't sure that I could do it but I amaze myself! So I finally choose some fabric from the store (and after they had cut it for me it was a done deal. I would not be able to take it back so I had no choice then)
So when I got home I took measurements off of one of the old covers and just started from there. I have to say that the little $40.00 sewing machine Kode found has come in very handy at our house. I really didn't think that we would use it much. But we have!
So I am not totally finished with this project yet but when I am done I will post some after photo's of how the patio set turned out! I am super excited!!

let me know how hard it was......I will probably have to do the same in a couple of years.
