The other night we were all siting at the table eating dinner and Kode asked what we had planned for the Summer! This is how the conversation went!
Kode: "Mom what do we have planned for this summer?"
Me: "Nothing that I can think of at this time. Is there something that you would like to do?"
Kode: "Yea I was thinking we should go camping. We should ride our 4-wheelers a lot, and Hawaii sounds good to me!"
Me: "LOL, LOL, (actually Mac and I got a good laugh out of this) "Well Kode I don't think that will be able to go to Hawaii this Summer but I am sure we can go camping and 4-wheeling.
Kode: "Well OK."
So at School Kode's class (the 4th grade) has been talking about the "birds and the bees" You know those grown up things (well not this day in age anymore) but anyway, he came home and told us that the boys had to watch a video about maturing, so I asked him what he thought and he said "well I am just not to sure about this stuff" and we talked about it for a few minutes and then he was on his way! I just can not believe that its already time to talk to my kids about this! He's only 10 years old and all and it makes me feel old! Anyway, I guess that's part of life! (I just don't look forward to talking to Bry about it. I think that I will send him to the grandparents house and they can talk to him! JK!)
Since the weather is getting a little nicer I have been wanting to run outside. We have had a few weard things happen to people in our community so I don't really like to run by myself very far away from home so I have one of the boys go with me. They ride their bikes and I run. Anyway, the other day I asked Bry if he would go with me and he did. He talkes the hole time. He tells stories, he sings to me and he tells me jokes. I can hardly get a word in edge wise.(which is a good thing since I am running and I can hardly breath little alone sing or tell stories) Well just as we were getting home Bry says "I know why you ask me to go with you mom" I said "why Bry" Bry: "well its so that I can entertain you while you are exercising" Me: "well I mostly do it so that I am safe and so that if something happend there is someone there with me, and I guess your entertainment is good to" I got a good laugh out of that one!
