So the boys have been wanting a nook color for a while. One night at dinner Mac made a deal with the boys. If Kode reads 20 books, takes an AR quiz at school on all 20 of them and passes with an 80% or better then he would purchase him a Nook color (Kode needed an incentive to keep him going on his goals at school. And no Mac usually doesn't make deals like this with the boys. He figured it would lite the fire within them to get them going again) And the deal he made with Bry was to keep his room cleaned for a month and then he could get one! (and keeping his room clean is very hard for him. He is kind of piggy) Anyway, they both did it.
Much to our surprise we thought it would take Kode a month or so to read all 20 books and take tests on them but he did all of it in 1 week. ( I even checked in with his teacher and she gave the OK on all of the tests) So he held up his end now it was our turn to hold up ours! So we went out right away to purchase his Nook. (Bry was a little upset that he had to wait a whole month before he got his. But a deal was a deal and he had to keep his room clean for a month)
So when Kode got his Nook Mac got the Internet installed and then helped him down load a few games and then Mac played on it a few times. At first I wasn't sure who's Nook it was. Mac really enjoyed playing on it!
After the month was over Bry did what he was asked and he was able to get his Nook. He just loves playing with it!
